Wei Kexiang, male, Ph.D., is a member of the Communist Party of China,  professor, and doctoral supervisor. He is an expert who enjoys the special allowance of the Hunan Provincial Government, a candidate for the "New Century Excellent Talent Support Program" of the Ministry of Education, a second-level candidate for the 121 Talent Project in Hunan Province, an outstanding teacher in Hunan Province, and a discipline leader in colleges in Hunan Province. He is concurrently the director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Automotive Power and Transmission Systems, the vice chairman of the Hunan Mechanical Fault Diagnosis and Failure Analysis Society, and the executive director of the Rotor Dynamics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering.

He is a member of the HIE Party Committee and vice president of HIE, responsible for postgraduate education, discipline construction, science and technology, etc., in charge of the Graduate Studies Division, Academic Research Division, Coordinated Innovation Center, Periodical Office, College of Applied Technology, and liaises with School of Mechanical Engineering and School of Textile and Clothing.
